Andrei Dadu

Medical officer at Joined infection disease programme (JID), in the Division of Country Health Programme (CPH) at the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization (WHO/Europe)


As a medical doctor from Moldova with postgraduate training in fieldepidemiology at Emory University, Andrei acted as an international servant at USAID's,CDC's, and PATH's missions since 1999. He has been involved in implementing multiplefield projects on TB, HIV, and viral hepatitis in eastern Europe and centralAsia, strengthening countries' capacities in epidemiological intelligence, research,and digital health.

Since 2007, Dr DADU continues to deliver his support as WHO's staff andis the focal point for:

·   Technical areas: TB screeningand prevention, Research and development, Social determinants, TB in emergencies,Health system and primary health care integration;

·   Countries: Balkans and Visegradgroup = 19

·    Projects: USAID-WHO RegionalPlatform to End TB in east Europe (USAID/TB-RP), GF-WHO Regional Project on TBand Health System (GF/TB-REP), Russia-WHO partnership on ending TB in migrants(RUS/TB-MIG).
