Reversing the concept of the Romanian medical system regarding the approach to tuberculosis patients and removing them from a system centered on hospitalization to an ambulatory system that is friendlier and closer to their needs is one of the challenges of the Pilot Ambulatory Care Project, carried out by the Ministry of Health with FG support
The preliminary data of this project show that through small and consistent investments, the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of these patients can be carried out exclusively in the ambulatory setting.
